Coordinated by the Bahrain Women Union and hosted by Nehdat Fatat Bahrain Association, the meeting opens dialogue on integrating technology with community work.
In the presence of Dr. Sumaya Al Jowder, President of the Bahrain Women Union, the Bahraini platform Nasnah presented its vision for supporting local businesses and equipping beneficiaries with digital tools during a meeting held at Nehdat Fatat Bahrain Association. The meeting was coordinated by the Bahrain Women Union and attended by a wide range of members and representatives from various associations. The initiative received a positive response, with attendees expressing interest in further communication to explore opportunities for partnership and cooperation.
Mustafa Al Marzooq, founder of Nasnah, delivered a presentation introducing the platform’s concept and tools, explaining how it can help strengthen the presence of productive families, business owners, and service providers by offering practical ways to showcase and organize their work and reach customers.
A Digital Presence That Extends the Impact of Empowerment
The presentation addressed a fundamental need among small businesses: ensuring that skills and quality products have a clear path to the market, while enabling businesses to continue promoting their work and connecting with customers beyond events, exhibitions, and training programmes.
Nasnah aims to address this need through a platform that brings together local businesses, productive families, and service providers. It offers a digital presence and tools for showcasing products and services and organizing business activities, alongside educational content designed to help business owners develop their knowledge and practices.
The platform carries the slogan “From Us, For Us,” reflecting its Bahraini identity and connection to the local community. It seeks to translate this identity into a practical experience that supports talented individuals and business owners, brings their work closer to the public, and prioritizes ease of use and clear procedures.
Associations as Partners in Understanding Needs and Creating Opportunities
The meeting explored opportunities to integrate the community-based role of associations with the capabilities offered by digital platforms, helping extend the impact of training and support into practical application and business management.
This approach builds on the associations’ understanding of beneficiaries’ needs and their close connection to their circumstances, alongside the digital tools, online presence, and educational content that Nasnah can provide. Combining these strengths creates opportunities to develop programmes that accommodate different levels of experience and readiness, helping beneficiaries take appropriate steps towards developing their businesses.
These discussions come as the platform undergoes a limited trial phase ahead of its broader commercial launch. Nasnah continues to refine the user experience and draw on feedback to improve its responsiveness to the needs of business owners.
