Bahrain Women Union elects a new board of directors

Under the slogan "Amending the Law on Civil Associations: Empowerment and Advancement of Volunteer Work," the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Women's Union held its tenth general conference, attended by the presidents and members of its affiliated women's associations.

A new board of directors was elected by acclamation, and they are: Dr. Sumaya Al-Jowder, Dr. Mona Abbas Fadl, Ms. Badriya Al-Marzouq, Ms. Afra Abdullah Surour, Ms. Anisa Al-Ruwaiei, Ms. Ramla Mohammed Jawad, Ms. Menna Allah Sayed Ali Masoud.

At the conclusion of the conference, the Board of Directors held its first meeting to distribute the key positions. Dr. Sumaya Al-Jawdar was elected President of the Union by vote, and the other three positions were filled by acclamation as follows:

Ms. Anisa Al-Ruwaiei – Vice President

Ms. Menna Allah Sayed Ali Masoud – Secretary

Ms. Ramla Mohammed Jawad – Treasurer
